Calgary BMX head Coach 2019
Calgary BMX is excited to announce Jeff Jacobsen as our Head Coach for the 2019 season! Jeff started racing BMX back in 2001 at the Calgary BMX track. He had many successes as a youth racer and eventually decided to race at the Elite level. .
Jeff has accomplished a long list of amazing achievements in his BMX career, but he is most proud to have earned an N2 plate the first year he competed as a junior male. In 2017 he finished the year with some major accomplishments, N1, AB1 and P1 in the 20” 26-30 male class. In 2018 Jeff decided to go back to racing Elite and finished the season by winning the AB1 plate in the Elite men’s class. Jeff is also one of Ken Cools head trainers for Camp Cools. He has many years of BMX coaching experience thru working with Ken and giving private lessons.
Jeff's is an exceptional rider and is usually flying thru the air over the jumps. He also has the ability to teach his skills in an encouraging way that motivates his students to push themselves to achieve their goals.
You can come meet Jeff on Novice Mondays and Intermediate/expert Tuesday’s at the Calgary BMX track. Jeff is an idol to many of our young Albertan riders. We are extremely proud to have Jeff on the Calgary BMX coaching team and can't wait to see him help our riders with the speed and skills that win races!
